The Importance of Kindness in Utah Construction

Working with Bluerock Utah — Part Five

Here we are on Part Five in the series. We have covered Choosing a Builder in Utah, and our four ROCK pillars: Relationships, Organization, Communication, and now… Kindness.

Bluerock ROCK Pillars: relationships, organization, communication, kindness

We want to cover a topic that should be considered in high regard. Kindness and respect is key to any working relationship, but it is especially important in a builder/client relationship. This relationship relies heavily on on mutual respect and kindness and we can do that with a few of the following steps:

  • Professionalism

  • Respect & Kindness

  • Perspective

Professionalism

We at Bluerock make professionalism a high priority. We want you as our client to always feel treated with a level of high respect. You should never feel like you aren’t in a professional relationship. We want you to feel like we value you to the highest degree.

There is nothing worse in a relationship than to feel like the other party isn’t professional.

Respect & Kindness

Respect and kindness is something that should be mutually upheld. We aim to treat not only our clients with respect and kindness, but also those on the design team, subcontractors, laborers, vendors & suppliers, city officials, inspectors, and your neighbors!

When respect and kindness are used in any relationship, it is bound to have more success. Communication is more open and both parties' goals are more often achieved.

Perspective

When resolving any challenging situation, taking time to understand all perspectives is key to finding a solution and moving forward. When we react too quickly, we often end up with a stickier situation than we intended.

In any relationship, but especially a building relationship, the key to a successful outcome is to operate from a place of professionalism and respect. When both parties come to the table with this in mind, the project often succeeds to a greater degree and both parties feel fulfilled with the outcome.
